Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream
March 7th, 2018
Emerging from the wreckage of the First World War, the city became a hotbed for decadent revelry and entertainment. It is in this setting that we placed Oberon and Tytania and the dispute of four lovers which unravels under the mischievous Puck.
From the ethereal to the outlandish, Britten’s orchestration brilliantly portrays each dream-like scene with distinctive musical signatures. Performances 5th, 6th, 8th and 10th March 2018. Book here.
